It bears Frucht in the months of July and August.
Merkur rules the tree, therefore are its Wirkungen variable as his are. The mulberry is of different parts, the ripe Beeren, by reason of their süßness and slippery Feuchtigkeit, opening the body, and the unripe binding it, especially when they are dried, and then they are good to stay fluxes, lasks, and the abundance of Monatsregel. The Rinde of the Wurzel kills the broad Würmer in the body. The Saft, or the syrup made of the Saft of the Beeren, helps all Entzündungen or Wunden in the Mund, or throat, and palate of the Mund when it is fallen down. The Saft of the Blätter is a Heilmittel gegen the biting of serpents, and for those that have taken aconite. The Blätter beaten with Essig, are good to lay on any place that is burnt with fire. A Dekokt (Abkochung) made of the Rinde and Blätter is good to wash the Mund and teeth when they ache. If the Wurzel be a little slit or cut, and a small hole made in the ground next thereunto, in the Harvest-time, it will give out a certain Saft, which being hardened the next day, is of good use to help the Zahnschmerzene, to auflösen knots, and reinigen the Bauch. The Blätter of MulBeeren are said to stay bluten at the Mund or nose, or the bluten of the piles, or of a wound, being bound unto the places. A branch of the tree taken when the Mond is at the full, and bound to the wrists of a womans arm, whose courses come down too much, doth stay them in a short space.
